Jose Delgado was born and raised in San Francisco, California and is a third generation hospitality professional. As restaurant kitchens had always been an integral part of José’s upbringing, he attended culinary school in 1999. Crossing to the “front of the house” would prove serendipitous. Jose truly found his passion in the service industry for over a decade in multiple roles, while simultaneously training with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust and The Court of Master Sommeliers. Jose managed restaurants and worked alongside inspirational San Francisco beverage directors such as Emily Wines M.S. and Cezar Kusic. In early 2017 he joined Chef Mourad to work alongside beverage director Tara Patrick and her Wine Spectator award-winning wine list.. José Carlos Delgado is a WSET Diploma scholar, holds the WSET Advanced Sake degree, and is a CMS Certified Sommelier on track for Advanced certification.
